Clinic Information

The Amherst Health Department offers a variety of clinics throughout the year.
Immunization Clinics
If your child needs immunizations for school entry, please coordinate with your child's school nurse before arrival.

We provide immunizations to children, adolescents and adults with no health insurance free of charge. Immunizations are only for urgent use allowing students to attend school and give time to families to obtain health insurance and choose a health care provider.
Immunization Clinics are open to children and adults from Amherst and are for people who do not have health insurance.
  • Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • If you have an immunization record, please bring it to your appointment.
  • A nurse will administer the immunizations and are available for questions.

Clinics are held every second Wednesday of the month 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and by appointment. Please coordinate with you child's school nurse before arrival.
