Film & Discussion Series: 13th - part 2

Thursday, December 7, 2017

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join us for the next event in this ongoing film and discussion series that may educate you, touch your heart, and inspire you to action to help dismantle racism.

Join us for the second half of "13th" - a powerful documentary which explores the history of race and the criminal justice system in the United States, by Ava DuVernay, the director of Selma. The first half of this film was viewed at the October meeting. Tonight, we will view the second half and discuss it.

After the film and discussion, work will continue in small groups on the local action projects already underway:
  • Climate Change-Racism Connections
  • Schools Initiative
  • Legislative Initiative
  • Support for individual actions and conversations

Free & open to the public.

Co-sponsored by the Jones Library and Coming Together.
