There are many services available in our area for elders and their families, including:

She has an extensive knowledge of programs and services available in the Amherst area and can provide information and referrals to meet your specific needs. She can help with questions concerning Medicare, housing, health, social well-being, and community services.

S.H.I.N.E. (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders)

S.H.I.N.E offers confidential counseling and assistance to medicare beneficiaries.  They also provide assistance with Medigap, HMO coverage, Medicare, Prescription Advantage, public benefits and more.

The Amherst Senior Center's S.H.I.N.E. counselor, Cami Elbow, has appointments on the 1st and the 3rd Monday afternoon each month.  Call the Senior Center at 259-3060 to schedule an appointment.
