Directions to the Bangs Center

The Amherst Senior Center is on the main floor of the Bangs Community Center on Boltwood Walk. At the intersection of Route 9 (College St.) and Route 116 (South Pleasant St.), proceed north through the traffic light where Pleasant Streeet crosses Main St. and becomes North Pleasant Street.

Continue north to the next light and turn right on Kellogg Avenue between the Post Office and the Unitarian Meeting House. Pass the first parking lot on your right and take the second right into Boltwood Walk, which is also an entrance to the new parking lot.

The main entrance to the Bangs Center is ahead on your left, and the Senior Center is up a half flight of stairs. You can also enter the Bangs Center from the other entrance to the new parking garage. Both entrances are equipped with automatic door openers.

Parking

The Senior Center has free senior Parking Permits valid on the east side of the lot beside the Ann Whalen Apartments at 33 Kellogg Avenue. The new parking garage is now open and has ample parking at $0.50 per hour. Additional parking is located across North Pleasant Street behind the CVS pharmacy.
