Town Meeting
The legislative body of the Town of Amherst is a Representative Town Meeting, consisting of 240 elected Town Meeting members, 24 from each of 10 precincts plus 14 ex officio members: the five members of the Select Board, the five members of the School Committee, the President of the Library Trustees, the Chair of the Finance Committee, the Moderator, and the Town Manager. - Deadline to submit Citizen Zoning Petitions due - Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 12 noon in the Select Board Office, Amherst Town Hall.
- Deadline to submit Citizen Miscellaneous Petitions due - Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12 noon in the Select Board Office.
- Deadline to submit materials for first packet mailing to Town Meeting members - Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 12 noon in the Select Board Office. Packets will be mailed on October 14.
- LWV/TMCC Town Meeting Warrant Review - Thursday, October 21, 2010, Town Room, Town Hall.
- TMCC Town Meeting Bus Tour - Sunday, October 24 from 1 to 3pm. Meet in the Middle School parking lot no later than 1:00pm.
- Deadline to submit materials for second packet mailing to Town Meeting members - Monday, October 25, 2010 at 12 noon in the Select Board Office. Packets will be mailed on October 27.
- Precinct Meetings - October 25 through November 7. Dates, times, and locations to be announced.
- 2010 Fall Special Town Meeting begins Monday, November 8, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Middle School Auditorium. Additional sessions are reserved for November 10, 15, 17, 22 and 29.

- Electronic Voting Survey Results Town Meeting members were asked to fill out the one-page Electronic Voting Survey whether or not they attended the demonstration, so TMCC would have a clear understanding of the range of ideas and concerns about Electronic Voting.
