The Town of Amherst Select Board and Town Manager John Musante signed an international sister city friendship renewal agreement Monday evening with Kanegasaki Town, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The agreement recognizes the 20th anniversary of fostering educational, cultural, enterprise, economic and other exchanges and promotes friendship and mutual understanding between the two Towns.
