To Through Traffic
Between Wildflower Dr and Hawthorn Rd
Starting Monday, June 25
th, 2018

Geeleher Construction will begin installing the new sewer main and abandoning an existing water main on Station Rd, between Wildflower Dr and Hawthorn Rd, starting on Monday, June 25th.

Station Rd will remain closed to through traffic during working hours. Local traffic will be accommodated but is advised to expect delays and/or seek alternate routes.

Station Rd will be closed to through traffic from 7am to 5pm.

Geeleher anticipates the work on Station Rd to last approximately 2 months.

A green stake will be placed in the Town Right of Way in front of your home to indicate the proposed location of the sewer stub. You may choose to move the stake to a more appropriate location. Ten feet of separation is required between the water service and sewer stub.

Geeleher will begin by abandoning one of the two water mains on Station Rd. This work is expected to last one week after which sewer construction will begin at Wildflower Rd and continue towards Hawthorn Rd.

All residents will have access to their driveways during construction; however, at certain times there may be delays. Please allow extra time and have patience as there may be instances when construction equipment may temporarily block driveway and roadway access.

If any resident has sprinkler heads, invisible pet fences, plantings, etc., inside the Town Right of Way please clearly mark the location of them. The contractor is not responsible for damage to these systems but will try to avoid them if they are marked.

For questions or additional information concerning the project please contact the Amherst Department of Public Works at 413-259-3050 or at
