Town of Amherst
The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has designated the Town of Amherst a Mini-Entitlement Community for the purpose of receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Amherst is eligible to receive a maximum of $825,000 in block grant funds for housing, community development projects, and social service activities benefiting low-and moderate-income citizens. In accordance with DHCD regulations, Amherst’s CDBG Advisory Committee will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Glass Room (lower level), Bangs Community Center (70 Boltwood Walk, Amherst, MA 01002) to receive comments and suggestions from local residents regarding
Town’s final recommended activities for funding as part of the 2019 application;
2019 Community Development Priorities; and
Currently funded activities.
Any person or organization wishing to be heard will be afforded an opportunity. Reasonable accommodations will be attempted upon written request to the Select Board’s office or Mr. Malloy prior to the meeting.
