Following several months of abnormally dry conditions, the state Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs Secretary Kathleen Theoharides has declared a Level 1 - Mild Drought for the Connecticut River Valley Region as of October 1, 2019. The State is recommending that all communities within the affected region take precautionary actions to reduce water use and help minimize the impacts of a potential long-term drought. Please refer to the Town’s Water Supply Status webpage for more information on those recommendations. The Town is not currently issuing any type of water use restriction. As always, the Town continuously monitors the water supply status, and will inform residents if monitoring indicates the supply is becoming stressed and water use restrictions are needed.
