[ARCHIVED] Planned Localized Power Outage & Detour on July 28th

A home located at 205 South Pleasant St. in Amherst will be moved to 21 Baker St. via Northampton Rd. on Wednesday, July 28th. The move will temporarily interrupt power to property owners along the route of travel. The outage will begin at 10:00 PM and the move is anticipated to be completed by 6:00 AM on Thursday, July 29th. Traffic will be detoured around the planned route during this time. 

Eversource has provided written notice to all impacted customers along the route. They will also remind customers by phone a week before and also the day before the planned outage. The home will be moved by Payne Building Movers of Center Strafford, NH. 

All of the side streets along Northampton Road - South Prospect St, Woodside Ave, Kendrick Pl, Lincoln Ave, Orchard St, Dana St, Blue Hills Road, and Hazel Ave will be blocked off with saw horses during the move. The traffic signal light on S. Pleasant Street at Northampton Road will also be temporarily moved during this time, with officers on hand to direct traffic.
