Amherst Town Manager Paul Bockelman has appointed Captain Gabriel Ting as the Temporary Police Chief effective May 27, 2023. Captain Ting will serve in this capacity until a new Police Chief begins their duties.
Captain Ting has been a member of the Amherst Police Department since 1997 and currently serves as Captain of Operations.
