Paintable with Krylon Fusion for Plastic spray paint
The plastic “New Englander” model rain barrel holds 55 gallons of rainwater, and is fitted with brass outlet spigots, a six-inch screened inlet, an overflow pipe, and a five foot starter hose with a shut-off valve. The top is permanently fastened for child and pet safety. Production of the New Englander barrel is relatively carbon neutral, as it is created from a used food-grade 55 gallon barrel. Multiple barrels may be joined for additional capacity. For additional product details visit www.nerainbarrel.com.
Use of rain barrels conserves water, saves money and benefits the community by reducing municipal storm water run-off. The average homeowner uses approximately 40% of their water for outdoor use. Rain barrels harvest rain water and make it available for outdoor plants. A quarter inch of rain from an average roof will easily fill the barrel. Once properly installed, five good rains each season will accumulate 275 gallons of (free) water.
