The DHCD has published a Notice of Funding Availability for Federal CARES Act Funding for immediate needs to respond to COVID-19. The Town of Amherst is eligible to apply for a maximum of $400,000 for Micro-enterprise Assistance Programs and Public Social Services. The Town’s CDBG Advisory Committee is holding a second public hearing on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 3:00 PM to: 1.hear activity proposals (or revised proposals) from agencies and organizations; 2. receive comments and suggestions about these proposals; 3.to hear additional comments about CARES Act funding. Any person or organization present will be given the opportunity to comment at the hearing. The Town will make every attempt to provide interpretive and translation services with advance request.
