  1. Station Rd. Bridge Information Meeting

    All members of the public are welcome! The bridge was closed recently after inspections by the Town Engineer and the Mass Dept. of Transportation bridge inspection team determined it was unsafe for vehicular travel. Initial estimates from the Town’s consulting engineering firm projected the bridge to be closed until August of 2020 and the cost for permitting, engineering, & constructing the bridge to be in the neighborhood of $2.6 million. The Town has initiated the process for a full replacement of the bridge in accordance with this estimate. At the same time, the Town has been exploring multiple other options to expedite reconstruction, and to install a temporary bridge or make modifications to the existing structure to allow it to carry some traffic. These efforts will be discussed at the meeting. We encourage members of the public to attend to learn more about the condition of the bridge, discuss the numerous options being considered, and suggest ideas that may help the situat
