    Town Manager Paul Bockelman will be at Share Coffee at 178 N. Pleasant Street on Friday, October 11th from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. Stop by and enjoy a nice a cup of coffee and conversation. Paul will be joined this time at Share Coffee by the Economic Development Director Geoff Kravitz. We have received great recommendations from the crowd for a future guest and will be getting that scheduled soon. The “Cuppa’ Joe with Paul” is a monthly event and rotate around the Town. Each time, Paul is joined by a different Town department head or official. Residents and others are welcome to share their concerns, offer suggestions, or just get to know each other.

    Join us for a lecture on the Old Testament roots of the New England Puritan mode of life, and an examination of the problematic relationship Puritans had with contemporary Jews presented by Dr Michael Hoberman of Fitchburg University. History Bites is a series of thirty minute lectures to inform and entertain, covering various aspects of the history of Amherst and the lives of those who once lived here. Bring your lunch, and we provide coffee, tea and cider for you as you listen to the presentations. The programs begin promptly at 12:15 with seating and beverages ready just before noon. The lectures are free and everyone is welcome to attend.
