  9. CDBG Advisory Committee Public Hearing

    June 16, 2021, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bangs Community Center > Large Activity Room

REC'D: 6/11/21 at 12:54 p.m. LIST OF TOPICS: Notice of Public Hearing: The Amherst CDBG Advisory Committee has scheduled a public hearing for 6/16/21. This public hearing has been advertised & posted as a remote Zoom meeting, pursuant to the Covid-19 protocols that have been in place for more than a year. Accordingly, the expectation has been that the hearing will be entirely remote and neither the Town officials nor the public will be attending in person. However, the relevant state laws and Governor’s executive order which allow these remote procedures are set to expire on 6/15/21. As of this writing, it is unclear if or when the Legislature will enact legislation, and if the Governor will sign same, to extend or alter the State laws which have permitted board members & the public to participate in meetings & hearings without having to be physically present. Because of this uncertainty, this “parallel” notice is being provided for either a remote or an in-person hrng on 6/16/21.
